- Quart Mason Jars
- 5 apples of your choice per Quart Jar
- 1 cup of White Cane Sugar
- 1/4 cup of Corn Starch
- 1 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. Ground Nutmeg
- 1/2 cup Water
- 3/4 cup Apple Juice OR Apple Cider
- 2 tsp Lemmon Juice
Core, peel and slice apples. Place in boiling water for 1 minute. Drain your apples keep warm and set aside in a seperate bowl. Bring remaining ingredients in a saucepan, heat to just before a boil to a thick syrup consistency . Fill your Sterilized Quart Jars alternating apples and then syrup. Fill to you reach one inch below neck of jar , run a plastic knife or Ball Canning Tool inside of your jar making sure you have no air bubbles inside your jar “Process in a water bath” for twenty-five minutes. Now each quart is good for one pie crust of your choice.
